Management Team
Joseph Furukawa, Chairman and Co-founder of CCSI, Prior to becoming the co-founder and
president of CCSI, Joe held a variety of engineering management roles at GTE Hawaiian Tel for
nearly 30 years. He is credited for successfully managing and building the company’s Traffic
Engineering, Central Office Engineering, Operations, and Toll and Special Services efforts.
Through his continued leadership, CCSI continues to grow and expand into the 21st century.
Gerald Noda, President, Chief Executive Officer, has over 27 years of experience in
Telecommunications Planning, Engineering, Construction, and Operations at Verizon Hawaii (formerly
GTE Hawaiian Tel) and Business Development at CCSI. He successfully blends technical knowledge
with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. While at Verizon Hawaii, Gerald served
as General Manager - Infrastructure Provisioning, Director - Construction, Manager - Access Design &
Construction, and various other Engineering positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and a Master of Business Administration degree
from Chaminade University. Gerald also holds a State of Hawaii C15 Electronic System Contractor’s
License.
Arnell Villanueva, Vice President Network Design, Arnell’s contributions to CCSI has been invaluable, brining over
24 Years of communications and engineering experience to CCSI and has been with the company since its
inception in 1989. He successfully obtained and continues to manage some of the company’s largest accounts,
among them including The Kamehameha Schools, Department of Transportation, US Navy, and Matson. Prior to
joining CCSI, Arnell worked for GTE Hawaiian Tel where he was responsible for project administration of the 911
services, the Department of Transportation, and the hotel & travel industry. Before GTE Hawaiian Tel, Arnell was
the Manager of Telecommunications for Amfac Corporation for eight years where he led numerous national
Information Technology expansion projects for the company; including the developments at Grand Canyon and
Death Valley.
Ted Salmon Jr., Director Advanced Services, With over 17 years experience in the Information Technology field,
Ted has extensive experience planning and installing data network systems, wireless data systems (RF/FSO),
VTC/AV systems and has custom designed solutions based on customer requirements. He served 21 years in the
military specializing in different disciplines which include Avionics Communications/Navigation, Electronic
Warfare, Disaster Preparedness and Combat Communications (TDC/ICAP). Ted holds a C-15b Hawaii State
Contractors License.
